Weekend Wrap-Up!

Helllllo – I can’t believe it’s already time for my “weekend wrap-up” because so many of you care what we do throughout our days πŸ™‚

{Friday}

Friday night, I headed out for a Charity Happy Hour event in honor of American Heart Association.  My sweet friend in the middle works for AHA and so of course, we needed to show some support!

Loved chatting with these ladies!

They had a free raffle going on and I was lucky enough to win one of the raffles! Woo woop!
And seriously.. cosmos are my new favorite drink! I totally felt like Samantha and Carrie from Sex & the City!  Reliving those glory days! ha!  I’d never had one before but they were their signature drinks so we had to give it a try!

The Mr had a golf lesson (as if he needs to get better?!) so he didn’t make the event!

{Saturday}

Saturday morning was glorious!  We laid in bed (I read and he looked at a few things on his phone) until almost 10:00!  Can you believe that?!  We were up around 7 but it was nice to lay in bed a little bit longer before we started out day!  W e ran a few errands and found some new glasses for L!  His glasses lenses are seriously gross (they just never get clean no matter how hard we try?!) so I’m glad he found a new pair!

Then we headed to Pizza Luce downtown for some appetizers and drinks to waste a little time before my SIL’s cheer competition!

The Focaccia Katerina was so good and something that you wouldn’t think I’d like if you knew me πŸ™‚ I actually tried something new and liked it! Yahoo!

Make your own Mimosas.. and y’all know how I feel about those…. 😍😍
We didn’t hang there too long before heading down to the Convention center for the cheer competition!

She did so good and she’s the cutest little thing out there!! We were glad we got a chance to see one of her competitions! 😊

That’s her on the VERY top – I can’t believe the stuff she can do!

We got to take her to dinner and headed to Red Cow for some Happy Hour drinks and food!

The Mr is obsessed with Whole Foods so we had to stop in there for “dessert”… I’m pretty sure their organic and “whole foods” do not qualify as dessert! Thankfully my SIL agreed with me.. ha!

We each picked out a small tub of Gelato to give it a try…

As I figured- it doesn’t taste like ice cream and therefore I’m not a fan!

She hung out with us for a bit at home before the Mr took her to her friends house for the night!  It was such a fun sporadic hang out and we loved seeing her!  My other SIL has a gymnastic competition by us in 2 weeks so we’ll be headed back to the convention center for that!  Love watching all those competitions!

{Sunday}

Sunday is meant for relaxing, am I right?! That’s exactly what we did!  The Mr didn’t feel so well – think his body is finally catching up with all his busyness- so I grocery shopped for the day/week and finished reading Matchmaker finally!

I made some chicken soup as well… BUT L added a little too many noodles so off to the store for more stock and a few other things to add so we could have real “soup”.

I made some yummy artichoke dip as well! Seriously so easy and it’s a huge favorite of mine!

We laid low the rest of the day and watched the Waste Management Open and a little bit of the Superbowl before bed!

I have to say… I love weekends like this one πŸ™‚  Hope y’all had a fun filled weekend (with a little relaxation!)!

    Talenti is so good! It’s funny you don’t like the gelato consistency. It is a bit different than icecream, but I am allll over it. Well, back when I ate dairy. Have you tried Halo Top? Whole Foods sells it, too. They have a ton of great flavors and it’s way healthier and less calories. =)

      I love watching any chance we get! We usually only get to watch one a year since they travel so much but it’s so fun! I’m looking forward to not many plans this weekend again so we can relax again! πŸ™‚ hope you had a good weekend!
